Sigur Ros @ Edgefield, Oregon, August 9, 2012

If you like live music and have not seen Sigur Ros, you are missing out.  Go see them, trust me, you will be amazed and thrilled that 11 people can make such wonderful music together.

Julia Holter @ Edgefield, Oregon, August 9, 2012

I enjoyed her Vancouver debut and was pleased to get a chance to see her again when she was announced as support.  It's always interesting to see how an artist plays a bigger venue (in this case an outdoor ampitheatre) and I think she did a great job.  I spent most of the set mesmerised by the sounds coming from the cello - superb.

Sharon Van Etten @ Aladdin Theatre, Portland, August 8, 2012

I was already planning to be in town when the show was announced and since the tour didn't include a Vancouver date as well, I was pleased that the timing worked out.  I like her more each time I see her.  She's a wonderful performer and comes across as funny and charming and very likeable.  There was a guy who kept talking between songs and she won the audience with the way that she dealt with him and oh yeah, the music was amazing.  The best I've seen her so far and I can't wait to see her again.

I'd managed to miss them a few times so was pleased to finally get a chance to see them when they were announced as support.  I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the guitar and their songs are very summer-poppy which is always good fun and it made for a nice double bill.
