If I hadn't seen Team Me, Ben Howard would have been the surprise of the festival for me. I'd heard a few songs but with so many bands playing, he wasn't on the top of my list of must-sees. Maybe it was the acoustics in the church or the adoring crowd but he put on a storming set. During one of the songs, some of the crowd start rhythmically clapping and I noticed the band look at each other as if to say 'wow, this is amazing'. It was a superb moment and a great highlight of the festival. And oh yeah, bringing The Staves and Michael Kiwanuka on for a song was also pretty cool.
