So after the late night on Tuesday and very little sleep, I was up relatively early the next morning (uh, about 2 hours later than normal) to grab some coffee and then catch The Deer Tracks. A duo from Sweden (4 when live) they were a SXSW discovery and are really quite wonderful. They're pale, dress mostly in black and gothic so perhaps an 11am settime in a courtyard wasn't the best setting for them but I was very impressed. For their final song, Yes This Is My Broken Shield (my favourite), the lead singer even played a saw with a violin bow. Awesome.
