I left Easy Tiger early to make sure I could get in to see Daughter. I'd discovered them in June of 2011 and had been completely in love ever since. I had hoped they'd play CMJ but no such luck. I was rather ecstatic when they were listed for SXSW. I had pretty high expectations for the set but it was even better than I thought it would be. The songs are so beautiful and they sound even better live. The band seemed surprised that they had fans in Texas and watching their reactions made me like them even more. All in all, a perfect set which made the wait (almost) worth it.
