Laura Gibson is a new artist to me and her current album, La Grande, will end up being one of my favourite albums of the year. It's really quite lovely. She only played a couple of shows at SXSW so I was glad she fit into my schedule and she put on a great show. I saw her at the venue before she went on stage and said how much I liked her album ... she beamed a huge smile and seemed quite pleased I thought so. An awesome moment and one I don't think I'll forget soon.
