Another day, another church ... only for you SXSW. Again, though, the performer was very well suited to the acoustics. Agnes Obel, a Berlin-based Dane, was one of my SXSW discoveries and although she seems to be doing quite well in Europe, I haven't read anything about her in the North American blogosphere. It's a shame because she's really something quite special. Her album is wonderful and her set was stunning. She sings and plays the piano and is accompanied by a cellist. Far too brief, but a true highlight of SXSW.
